Olvar Wood Manuscript Fellowship is an opportunity for you to win a package including a week-long retreat at Olvar Wood and a three-month mentorship. Applications open January 1.
Olvar Wood Writers' Book Club is a FREE monthly bookclub. Meetings are held at Olvar Wood on Wednesdays (usually the first Wednesday of the month), looking out over the beautiful grounds. Discussions will focus on what we can learn, as writers, from what we read.
Friends of Olvar: new memberships is now available. Membership benefits include 20% discount on all retreats, mentorships and appraisals, invitations to Olvar Wood events, a frequent writers' scheme, and free entry to all Olvar and Perilous competitions.

Event Hosting
Olvar Wood is available for author events, book launches, author signings, literary dinners, book club events or any other literary occasion you'd care to celebrate. We can arrange catering, decorating, accommodation.
Olvar Wood has beautiful, extensive grounds surrounded by natural bushland and views of the Blackall Range. There are two large lawn areas suitable for outdoor events, a large covered deck and indoor entertaining area.
Olvar boasts an attractive entranceway and deck overlooking the lawns, which is ideal for speeches, readings and receptions.
A fully equipped kitchen and office, and three bathrooms. The dining table can seat up to 12 people. There is outdoor seating for a further 14 people onsite.
There is ample parking on the grounds.
Whatever the occasion, we can work with you to make your event a success.
