As writers, we are passionate about the importance of belonging to a community of writers and readers: people for whom the written word is a source of comfort and inspiration. Becoming a member of the Friends of Olvar gives you the opportunity to become part of a vibrant and active writing community.
At Olvar Wood we are dedicated to providing a destination for writers who are seeking a peaceful place full of natural beauty in which to write: whether alone or with others, a place to learn and improve their writing, a place to spend time in the company of like-minded people away from the many demands of ordinary life.
As writers who have had the pleasure of living and working at Olvar Wood, we want to ensure that it will continue to provide a place for writers to come for generations to come. Your membership fees go directly towards the maintenance and improvement of the grounds at Olvar Wood.
In 2009, the Friends of Olvar membership fees will go towards establishing vegetable and herb gardens, which all visitors to Olvar Wood will have access to during their stay.
Becoming a friend
You can become a Friend of Olvar simply by filling in the form below, and then paying your membership fee (either by cheque or direct deposit).
Annual membership costs an annual fee of $50.00

Frequent Writer's Program
For every publication you achieve during your membership period, you will earn frequent writer's points (Olvar Dollars), which can be deducted from the cost of any Olvar Wood retreats or courses. We will also include your glorious achievements in our newsletter and on our website.
