Here&#8217;s a list of a few recent publications &#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com.au\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=1&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=0ahUKEwibws3BksrZAhUisFQKHciEBxYQFggnMAA&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fverityla.com%2Fnight-drive-nike-sulway%2F&amp;usg=AOvVaw0eAAik-_WYPEgGYzNH77Cu\">&#8216;Night Drive&#8217; (a poem) in <em>Verity La.<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/socialalternatives.com\/issues\/search-leadership\">&#8216;The Beautiful Husband&#8217; (a short story) in <em>Social Alternatives <\/em>(Volume 36, no 3)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/goingdownswinging.org.au\/david-copperfield-by-charles-dickens\/\">A Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge &#8216;review&#8217; of Dickens&#8217;s David Copperfield at <em>Going Down Swinging<\/em>.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I co-edited a special issue of TEXT, the journal of &#8216;writing and writing courses&#8217;, with Rebecca Anne do Rozario and Belinda Calderone. You can access the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.textjournal.com.au\/speciss\/issue43\/content.htm\">whole issue free online here<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.textjournal.com.au\/speciss\/issue43\/DoRozario%20et%20al.pdf\">read our introduction to the issue here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I co-edited a book with Donna Lee Brien and Dallas Baker called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cambridgescholars.com\/recovering-history-through-fact-and-fiction\"><em>Recovering History through fact and fiction: Forgotten Lives <\/em><\/a>(Cambridge Scholarly Publishing, 2017). The book includes my own chapter, <em>&#8220;a date with Barbara&#8221;: paracosms of the self in biographies of Barbara Newhall Follett<\/em>, and of course an introduction co-written with my fellow authors.<\/li>\n<li>I have a chapter in the forthcoming edited collection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsouthbooks.com.au\/books\/offshoot\/\"><em>Offshoot: Contemporary Life Writing Methodologies and Practice<\/em><\/a> (UWA Publishing, May 2018), edited by Donna Lee Brien and Quinn Eades. My contribution is called &#8216;<em>Les Fees S&#8217;ecrivet: Wrestling with Women&#8217;s Life Writing<\/em>&#8216; (it looks at fairy tale narratives as a life writing methodology in works by Jeanette Winterson, Christa Wolf and others).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s still in the pipeline &#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two novels (<em>The Book of Ruth<\/em> and <em>Tern<\/em>), a children&#8217;s illustrated book for Twelfth Planet Press (<em>Winter&#8217;s Tale<\/em>), a very very very overdue special issue of <em>Writing From Below <\/em>(including an interview with Ellen Klages, an article by your truly on James Tiptree Jr and and an article by Dr Daniel Hourigan on my novel <em>Rupetta),<\/em> a keynote address for the IAFA conference in Florida next month, a play (<em>Romeo Must Die<\/em>), another special issue of TEXT (this time on writing and rurality\/ruralness), a very very overdue book chapter on dark ecology in the TV series <em>Jordskott <\/em>(co-authored with the always amazing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariaarena.com.au\/\">Dr Maria Arena<\/a>) and &#8230; a few other bits and bobs.<\/p>\n<p>What can I say. Send chocolate. Or wine. Or both.
